Deforestation in the Amazon and Cerrado biomes decreased in the August 2025 to July 2026 season, according to data released by the Federal Government based on satellite monitoring by the National Institute for Space Research (Inpe). In the Amazon, the reduction was 41.8%, while in the Cerrado it reached 23.8%, with both biomes registering the lowest rates in their respective historical series. The results were presented at a press conference this Friday (16), with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Andr\u00e9 de Paula.<\/p>\n
