Aprosoja Mato Grosso is promoting the “Research Tour” to facilitate access to research conducted at the Technology Centers. In this program, researchers from CTECNO Araguaia, located in Nova Nazaré, and CTECNO Parecis, located in Campo Novo do Parecis, present the results of their research in short videos on social media, contributing to improving agricultural practices in the state.
The action is in line with the institution's values of socio-environmental responsibility, promoting sustainable development based on scientific criteria and responsible production practices. According to the vice-president of Aprosoja MT, Luiz Pedro Bier, the idea is to take information from technology centers to social networks, allowing knowledge to spread.
“The Research Tour is a dissemination action because we know that research without extension is useless. Therefore, our goal is to disseminate and amplify the results, transmitting the knowledge generated in the Research Centers to the whole society, especially to farmers, so that they can use this investment in their crops and thus increase productivity”, emphasizes Bier.
CTECNOs conduct research without any partnership with companies or distributors of inputs, making them the largest independent research centers. The experiments are carried out in specific soils, with CTECNO Parecis focused on the study of medium-textured sandy soils, while CTECNO Araguaia works with soils with a high silt content and shallow soils.
Aprosoja/Iagro researcher Daniela Facco emphasizes that the results of the research conducted at the CTECNOs are focused on soil correction and the use of soil conditioners, with fertilization strategies for grain crops. In short, the goal is to help producers make decisions about day-to-day management on their farms. “Some of the results show that we have a great benefit in terms of production potential. Thus, the Research Round today is a way of bringing this information to producers more quickly and succinctly,” explains Daniela.
The CTECNOs also publish their results through circulars and technical bulletins, available on the Aprosoja MT website; symposiums and technical visits, explains Aprosoja MT/Iagro researcher André Somavilla. “In the symposiums, technical visits and technical rounds, we have more direct contact with producers, transmitting more specific results. In the circulars and bulletins, we are able to explore further and transmit other information and results. The Research Round is a tool that came to aggregate and makes it possible to access other audiences that we do not reach with other communication tools”, concludes the researcher.
