Favorable weather accelerates soybean planting between October and November in Mato Grosso do Sul.

Soybean planting for the 25/26 season progressed rapidly between the first week of October and the first week of November in Mato Grosso do Sul. According to information from the SIGA-MS project, executed by Aprosoja/MS, this period accounted for 811 TP4T of the total area already sown in the state. The progress of the initial phase of the production cycle was driven by good rainfall, mainly in the Central and Southern regions, which together represent approximately 851 TP4T of the total estimated area.

As of November 14th, the accumulated planting area, encompassing all regions of the state, is 92.1% of the estimated area, equivalent to 4.4 million hectares. Based on the average of the last five harvests, planting should be completed in the first half of December.

The crops vary between the vegetative phenological stage V6 and the reproductive stage R3, marked by the appearance of the second fully developed trifoliate leaf and the beginning of pod formation, respectively. With the exception of the Southern Region, the other regions show good conditions in more than 90% of the areas.

For this harvest, it is estimated that Mato Grosso do Sul will cultivate 4.7 million hectares, with an average productivity of 52.8 sacks per hectare and a production of 15.1 million tons.
