The Imea (Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics) released a report highlighting updates on the corn harvest in the state. The survey notes that sales of the 2024/25 crop advanced 9.27 percentage points throughout September, reaching 77.59% of total production.

However, when compared to the same period last season, negotiations are 1.6 percentage points behind schedule and 5.19 points below the average of the last five seasons.

According to analysts at Imea, this scenario is due to "the lower competitiveness of corn in the international market, which has reduced external demand this season."

Regarding the monthly price of the available crop, in September/25 it closed at an average of R$ 45.75 per sack, an increase of 3.78% compared to the previous month, driven by higher demand in the domestic market.

For the following season, sales reached 21.11% of the estimated production, an increase of 5.6 percentage points compared to August 2025. Negotiations for the future crop remained 8.09 percentage points above that observed in the previous cycle.

The monthly price for the 25/26 crop, in September/25, proved to be more stable, registering an increase of 0.17% compared to the previous month, and ending with an average of R$ 45.04/sc.
