The Goiás State Government has extended the registration deadline for the Bovine Genetic Improvement Program for Family Farming. Interested family dairy farmers now have until August 26 to complete and submit the registration form available on the website of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Seapa).
The extension aims to increase the participation of producers from all regions of the state, especially in the 15 municipalities that make up the main dairy basins in Goiás, in addition to ensuring more time for interested parties to gather and submit the necessary documentation.

The initiative is a state public policy funded by Goiás Social and coordinated by Seapa, with support from Emater Goiás. The program anticipates the participation of 450 family farmers and offers technical training and access to Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination (FTAI) technology, as well as training in animal management, health, and nutrition.
For Pedro Leonardo Rezende, Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply, the deadline extension reinforces the Goiás State Government's commitment to productive inclusion. "We are committed to expanding access to public policies to develop the dairy chain in Goiás, such as the PAA Leite (Milk Program), the Dairy Sector Bulletin, the FCO Rural Program for dairy cattle farming, and Social Credit. The Genetic Improvement Program is another tool for this goal," he stated.
