New version of CAR Digital begins to be implemented in 61 municipalities in Mato Grosso

Attention, cattle ranchers of Mato Grosso! The State Government published State Decree No. 1,473, of April 16, 2025, which establishes the guidelines for the new version of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), the so-called CAR Digital 2.0, and determines the beginning of the automated analysis process of the system.

The new version will be implemented gradually, starting in 61 municipalities in Mato Grosso. The measure represents an important technological advance, as the system will automatically analyze CAR data, directly assigning the status of “Validated Digital CAR”. This status will remain until the interested party requests a rectification, in accordance with the criteria established in article 19 of the Decree.

Among the first cities to receive the system update are: People and Saint Joseph of the Four Marks.

The State Secretariat reinforces the importance of rural producers being aware of the new guidelines, keeping their data updated in SIGA (Environmental Management System) and consulting the decree in full to understand all the details of the process.
