Chicken meat exports continue to advance and in 9 business days have already reached almost 60% of the volume and revenue from April last year

According to information from the Federal Government's Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), released this Monday (17), exports of poultry meat and its edible offal, fresh, refrigerated or frozen in the nine working days of April represent almost 60% of the total collected in dollars and the volume shipped in the entire month of April 2022.

SAFRAS & Mercado analyst Fernando Henrique Iglesias says that exports are a positive point this year, especially in a year in which costs are falling in the first half of the year. “We have a strong export force. Chicken meat is no mystery because we have an important direction for more than 100 countries. It is a very solid moment, and I see that we could potentially see a year of record shipments for chicken meat.”

The revenue obtained from chicken meat exports up to this point in April, US$$ 430,569,728, represents 57,54% of the total collected in the entire month of April 2022, which was US$$ 748,185,385. In the case of the volume shipped, the 229,508,055 tons are 59,37% of the total recorded in April last year, an amount of 386,510,007 tons.

The average daily revenue so far this month was US$$ 47,841,080, an amount 21.5% higher than that recorded in April 2022. In comparison with the previous week, there was a decrease of 23.5%.

In the case of tons per daily average, there were 25,500.895, an increase of 25.4% compared to the same month in 2022. When compared to the result in the item from the previous week, there was a drop of 21.8%.

The price paid per ton, US$ 1,876.054, is 3.1% lower than that practiced in April last year. The result, compared to the value reached in the previous week, represents a decrease of 2.2%.
