Brazil breaks record in soybean meal exports and expands destinations in the international market.

Data from Secex analyzed by Cepea shows that, from January to October, Brazil exported 19.6 million tons of soybean meal, a record for the period.

According to the Research Center, demand is strong, especially from new countries and/or less traditional destinations, such as Spain, Denmark, Bangladesh, and Portugal.

In Brazil, consumers are also more active in purchasing the derivative. Regarding soybeans, so far this year, the country has shipped 100.6 million tons, 6.71 TP4T above the volume shipped in the same period of 2024.

Of that total, 78.8 million tons were shipped to China, according to figures from Secex analyzed by Cepea. In the fields, widespread rains benefited field activities in much of Brazil.

According to Conab, soybean planting reached 47.1% of the estimated area by November 1st, below the 53.3% observed in the same period of 2024 and the average of 54.7% of the last five years.
