The Global Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS) was one of the organizations selected by Embrapa to be part of the official program of AgriZone, an initiative that will take place during COP30, from November 10 to 21, in Belém (PA).
On November 13th, at 12:40 PM, in Auditorium 1 of AgriZone, RTRS will host a panel to showcase and discuss how responsible soy production is part of the solution to climate change. On this occasion, the new executive director of RTRS, Marina Muscolo, will give a presentation highlighting the association's figures, goals, and commitments to the global climate agenda, with emphasis on actions in responsible and regenerative agricultural production. "This is a historic achievement for RTRS, as for the first time we will have the opportunity to conduct an event at COP. Our session at AgriZone is a unique moment to show how our standards contribute to concrete solutions to climate change," emphasizes Marina.
The panel will bring together voices from across the value chain to analyze how RTRS certification can support low-carbon and climate-resilient agricultural systems. “This achievement is part of our Strategic Plan, through which we seek to consolidate RTRS as a leading voice in the sustainable soy sector. We are honored to have been approved by Embrapa to organize this panel at Agrizone, demonstrating the association's commitment to these issues,” he points out.
AgriZone is part of the Journey for Climate, an Embrapa initiative that aims to publicize the role of Brazilian science in mitigating climate change.
