Soybean planting reaches 57.6% of the area and remains below the historical pace.

Soybean planting for the 2025/26 crop in Brazil reached 57.61 TP4T of the projected area, after advancing 11.1 percentage points in seven days, according to a survey conducted by Datagro Grãos up to the 7th of this month. During the same period of the 2024/25 season, planting was at 67.91 TP4T; the average for the last five years is 64.1.

Planting is more advanced in Paraná and Mato Grosso, where it progressed 7 pp and 11 pp in the last week, respectively, both reaching 87% of the estimated area. On a multi-year average, sowing was at 86.6% in Paraná and 90.4% in Mato Grosso.

In the other states of the Southern region, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, work is progressing more slowly, with 23% and 16% completed, respectively, of the projected area.

The projects in Goiás, Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso do Sul reached 54%, 30%, and 86%, respectively. In Matopiba, they are ahead of the multi-year average in Bahia and Tocantins, while Maranhão and Piauí are behind schedule.
