The purchasing power of the São Paulo poultry farmer has been falling compared to soybean meal in this partial month of April, reaching the lowest level in the last three months.
Regarding corn, the performance appears stable. According to Cepea surveys, egg and cereal prices fell at the same rate when comparing the averages for April with those for March, while soy derivative prices recorded a slighter drop.
In Bastos (SP), prices for extra white eggs, to be collected from the farm (FOB), fell 5% compared to March, with the box of 30 dozen going from R$ 203.01 to R$ 192.79 in this part of the month.
For the red product, the decline was 4.9%, with the box of 30 dozen currently sold at R$ 220.20, on average. In general, Cepea researchers explain that the declines are linked to slow sales.
