The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations that open new markets for agricultural products in El Salvador, the Philippines, and Trinidad and Tobago, with a particular focus on pork.
In El Salvador, the export of pork and its by-products has been authorized, expanding opportunities for the production chain and allowing for greater added value to Brazilian products. By 2025, Brazil had already exported more than US$103 million in agricultural items to the country, and this new opening is expected to strengthen that trade flow.
The negotiations also include authorization for the export of dry hay to the Philippines, a market with approximately 112 million inhabitants that imported over US$1.8 billion worth of Brazilian agricultural products in 2025, as well as authorization for the shipment of coconut seeds to Trinidad and Tobago, which acquired over US$61 million worth of Brazilian agricultural products during the same period.
With the new agreements, Brazilian agribusiness has opened up 555 new markets since the beginning of 2023. These results are a product of the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
