Last week, the Peruvian National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa) officially authorized the first 18 Brazilian plants to export bovine meat and bone meal and bovine and swine blood products. This measure enables the start of commercial operations in these segments, which opened in May 2024 and previously depended on the approval of the industrial plants to gain access to the Peruvian market.
The qualifications include:
- Beef meat and bone meal: 14 companies qualified;
- Blood products (bovine and/or porcine): 4 authorized companies.

In addition to these authorizations, Senasa also approved three more Brazilian companies to export poultry meal to Peru, representing an increase of 21% in the total number of establishments authorized to supply this product to the country.
To ensure the continuity of exports, the Peruvian health authority also promoted the renewal of licenses for all establishments that were already operating with poultry meal, extending their validity until December 2028.
The decision strengthens the commercial flow of inputs destined for production chains in the Peruvian market and expands the possibilities for Brazilian supply within the regional context.
