Rondônia's agribusiness sector ends the 2025 cycle with significant growth in its Gross Production Value (VBP). According to data released on November 21st by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), the state reached the amount of... Rondônia's performance stands out when compared to the national trend. While Brazil's VBP (Value of Agricultural Production) grew by approximately... 14,5% During this period (going from R$ 1.23 trillion to R$ 1.41 trillion), Rondônia accelerated above the federal index, demonstrating a productive momentum that surpasses the national average, although its share still represents... 2,18% of the total Brazilian pie.
The state's productive structure maintains a strong inclination towards livestock farming, which accounts for 57% (R$ 17.631 million) of the state's VBP, while the crops hold the 43% (R$ 13.201 million) remaining.
In the product ranking, five activities account for the majority of revenue:
Cattle: Absolute leadership with R$ 15,904.0 million.
Soy: Main agricultural commodity, reaching R$ 4,761.0 million.
Coffee: Traditional sector with revenue of R$ 4,269.8 million.
Corn: An important component of the animal breed, adding up R$ 2,707.7 million.
Milk: Closing out the “top 5” with R$ 1,211.0 million.
Structural Growth

Despite the jump from 20% in the last year, Rondônia occupies the 12th position in the national ranking (according to the table of States). The main technical challenge lies in productive concentration.
The dependence on beef cattle and soybean production makes the state's Gross Value of Production (GVP) highly sensitive to fluctuations in international commodity prices and health crises. The low participation of products such as pork and sugarcane points to an agricultural sector that, although robust in its areas of dominance, still lacks greater industrial diversification and added value in smaller supply chains. Maintaining growth will depend on the state's ability to sustain productivity gains in grains and ensure the health status of its cattle herd, the cornerstone of its rural economy.
