Use of corn DDG in animal nutrition
Corn DDG is a byproduct of ethanol production, resulting from the fermentation of corn starch. It is also known as Distillers Dried Grains.
It is rich in nutrients such as proteins, fibers and fats. It has a high concentration of non-degradable protein in the rumen (NDRP). It is a quality raw material for ruminants, poultry and swine.
It is used in the composition of dairy cow diets, as an alternative to the partial or total replacement of protein ingredients and is used in the feeding of beef and dairy cattle.
Bela Cereais offers high quality DDG, sourced from the best mills in the country.

What is corn DDG?
Corn DDG (Dried Distillers Grains) is a byproduct of ethanol production, made from the milling, liquefaction, fermentation and distillation of corn.
For each ton of corn processed, on average 300 kg of corn are produced. DDG, 430 liters of ethanol and 15 liters of oil, varying from plant to plant.
With the growing demand for biofuels, combined with the advantages of producing ethanol from corn, projections indicate that by 2027/2028 ethanol production will jump to 7.5 billion liters, which will lead to a supply to the market of approximately 5.2 million tons of DDG.
What are the characteristics?
THE Corn DDG It is characterized by its high protein, fiber and fat content, a feature that makes it an effective food supplement for various species of production animals.
The protein content in DDG is significantly higher than that of original corn, due to the removal of starch during the fermentation process. In addition, the presence of fiber contributes to the digestive health of animals, while fats provide a concentrated source of energy.
