Production cost survey for the Campo Futuro Project will cover six municipalities in MT

The Mato Grosso Agriculture and Livestock Federation (Famato) will present, in July, the rounds of the Campo Futuro Project promoted by the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA) – CNA/Senar System, with the objective of collecting updated data on the production costs of the soybean and corn chains in the state.

The survey will be carried out in partnership with the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), rural unions, the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) and Famato.

The rounds will be held in the municipalities of Sorriso, Sinop, Campo Novo do Parecis, Canarana, Querência and Primavera do Leste, between July 14 and 18. The meetings took place in person at the headquarters of the rural unions in the respective municipalities.

For Famato, the active participation of producers in the meetings is essential to ensure the quality and representativeness of the data found. The information gathered will serve as a basis for the development of more effective public policies and management strategies for the field.

“Campo Futuro is an important management tool. When producers participate, they contribute valuable information about their production reality and, at the same time, have access to data that helps compare their efficiency with the regional and national average. This generates knowledge and strengthens the entire chain,” highlights Alex Rosa, an analyst at Famato, who will monitor the six rounds in Mato Grosso.

The Campo Futuro project's mission is to produce specific regional diagnoses based on surveys of agricultural production costs in different activities. The information is consolidated into technical reports and reference spreadsheets, which are made available to unions and producers. This data allows rural producers to compare estimated costs with the results of their own properties, directly contributing to more efficient and strategic management.

Famato reinforces the importance of engaging producers in each participating municipality, because the more necessary local information is, the greater the positive impact of the analyses generated. The knowledge produced from the data obtained directly contributes to strengthening production chains, individual planning in the field and the development of public policies that meet the real needs of the sector.
