Brazilian pork exports (including all products, both fresh and processed) totaled 151,600 tons in September. This is the largest monthly volume ever recorded by the sector, exceeding the total exported in the same period last year by 25.91 TP4T (120,400 tons).
September's export revenue also set a record. In total, exports totaled US$1,500,000 this year, exceeding the US$1,500,000,000 total for the same period last year by US$1,500,000,000.
With September's impressive performance, pork shipments have already accumulated a 13.2% increase in export volume between January and September this year compared to the same period last year, totaling 1.121 million tons in 2025, compared to 990.7 thousand tons in the same period last year. Revenue growth reached 24.6%, with US$$ 2.702 billion this year, compared to US$$ 2.169 billion last year.
The Philippines continues to expand its share of Brazilian exports, with 49,000 tons of pork imported in September – a balance 73.9% higher than in the same period last year. Next are China, with 13,600 tons (-18.2%), Japan, with 11,400 tons (+32.4%), Vietnam, with 9,600 tons (+39.8%), Mexico, with 9,600 tons (+55.8%), Chile, with 8,300 tons (-13.7%), Hong Kong, with 8,200 tons (-5.3%), Singapore, with 5,600 tons (+2.2%), Argentina, with 4,200 tons (+82.2%) and Georgia, with 4,000 tons (+120%).
"Although it's the main destination, the Philippines isn't the only driver of strong demand for Brazilian products, which are growing at significantly high rates in strategic markets. Demand is expected to continue, with the year ending with record results," says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
Santa Catarina remains the largest pork exporting state, with 72.7 thousand tons exported in September (+17.4% compared to the same period of the previous year), and is followed by Rio Grande do Sul, with 35.7 thousand tons (+39.6%), Paraná, with 25.3 thousand tons (+35.5%), Minas Gerais, with 2.9 thousand tons (-10.6%) and Mato Grosso, with 3.9 thousand tons (+19.1%).
