The Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT) officially announced the 4th edition of the Aprosoja MT Journalism Award, which will become national for the first time in 2026. With the theme "Sustainable agriculture that transforms the city from the countryside," the award will be open for entries from April 7th to August 7th, 2026, encompassing six categories: Text Reporting, Video Reporting, Audio Reporting, Photojournalism, University Journalism, and Mato Grosso Highlights — the latter exclusively for professionals working in the state.
The president of Aprosoja MT, Lucas Costa Beber, highlighted that expanding the award to the entire country reinforces the organization's commitment to communicating, based on data and best practices, the transformative role of sustainable agriculture in society. The initiative seeks to strengthen the dialogue between rural and urban areas and to value the work of the press in covering agricultural production and its positive impacts.
The announcement of the new edition comes shortly after the celebration of the winners of the 3rd edition of the award, held in 2025, which had as its theme "The Impact of Sustainable Agriculture on Urban Life".

With over 120 entries, the awards recognized 20 professionals and students in various categories. Among the highlights:

Regional Highlights
Among the award winners, Crislaine Molossi (North), Viviane Elisa Petroli (South), Lukas Barbosa Soares (East), Elisangela Pereira de Oliveira (West), and Geovanna Albuquerque Torquato Cavalcante (Baixada Cuiabana) were recognized for reports that highlight the connection between sustainability in the countryside and quality of life in cities.
The evaluation of the works was conducted by two groups of judges. The institutional jury consisted of Gilson Antunes de Melo (vice-president of the western region of Aprosoja MT), Laura Battisti Nardes (vice-president of the southern region), Clarete Brolio Rezende (Campo Novo do Parecis), Marlise Marafon (Sapezal), and Taisa Botton (Lucas do Rio Verde). The technical jury was composed of Aleksander Horta (Notícias Agrícolas), Simone Garcia (Agromais TV), and Wenderson Araújo (photographer for CNA).
With the 2026 edition approaching and now open to the entire country, the expectation is to further expand the reach and quality of the reports that show how sustainable agriculture transforms urban realities from the countryside.
