Rainfall is lighter in the Midwest, but parts of Mato Grosso should still have high volumes

According to the forecast of accumulated rainfall for the next seven days from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), in general, rainfall should not be very heavy in the Central-West region, however, in areas of western Mato Grosso, rainfall over a week should still exceed 80 millimeters.

According to the forecast for accumulated rainfall in 24 hours, this weekend should be dry for most of the states of Mato Grosso do Sul and Goiás. In the eastern half of Mato Grosso there is some humidity, but if it rains, the volumes should not exceed 10 millimeters in 24 hours.

The heaviest rains in the coming days are expected to be concentrated in the north of Mato Grosso, a little further west of the state, where forecast volumes are 20 and 60 millimeters in 24 hours in some municipalities.

Light rain may occur throughout the week in much of the Central-West region, while the western half of Mato Grosso is expected to receive around 20 millimeters of precipitation in 24 hours over the course of these days. By the middle of next week, there is a possibility that the volumes will become more intense in the southeastern part of the state.

As a result, over a seven-day period, accumulated rainfall should be around 70 millimeters in western Mato Grosso, in some parts of the southeast of the state and some areas of Goiás, while in the rest of the Center-West this total should not exceed 50 millimeters, with levels of up to 20 millimeters for most of Mato Grosso do Sul.
