The Aprosoja MT Circuit arrived in Nova Maringá this Wednesday (04.06) to discuss science, innovation and the connection between technology and agribusiness in Mato Grosso, with emphasis on the lecture by geophysicist and scientific communicator, Sérgio Sacani, presenting new modalities to be used by rural producers in the region.
The event was held at Cardume Gastrobar and brought together rural producers, students and authorities for a moment of exchanging information, clarifications and strategic alignments in favor of rural producers. Representing Aprosoja MT, president Lucas Costa Beber highlighted the importance of direct dialogue with rural producers.
“This is the third year that the Aprosoja MT Circuit has come to Nova Maringá, and it is a great satisfaction. The interior here in Mato Grosso has valued our work, everything that Aprosoja MT has done and, for us, it is an opportunity to be close to producers and society, to show that the institution works for all groups regardless of size and time, always defending the majority of producers”, he stated.
After the technical debates, renowned speaker, geophysicist and science communicator Sérgio Sacani, provided suggestions on technology to assist local producers. The idea is that these contributions will help guide future activities of rural producers, facilitating their work in the field.
“We are halfway through the third week and it is really cool, because as we talk to people, we show them and see that, in some cases, there are many people who already use technology in the field. Each city shows a case, a company that does it, that already uses satellite images or artificial intelligence”, explained Sacani.
The coordinating delegate of Nova Maringá, Lázaro José Pletsch, highlighted the relevance of the event for the municipality and how the information provided by Aprosoja MT can impact the decisions of rural producers and society.
“We had a fantastic Aprosoja MT Circuit, a full house and a great speaker. Sérgio Sacani has an impressive knowledge of technology and rural producers are increasingly connected to this and he managed to bring this knowledge to our property. This year, we also had the presence of our president Lucas Costa Beber, who came to bring information from the headquarters and the work carried out by the entity that in a certain way reaches the entire population, not only producers, but also the community”, he highlighted.
Finally, Adam Fenner, a rural producer from Nova Maringá and a regular attendee of Aprosoja MT events, expressed his satisfaction in participating in yet another successful event organized by the organization. “I have participated in other editions of the event and it is always good to have an outsider’s perspective on agribusiness to see how it is seen. It was also great to learn about technology issues and see how it can help rural producers. Today, technology helps with everything and I believe that even if we don’t know how to use it, we have to keep up to date to be able to take advantage of what is happening in the agricultural sector and the trends,” concluded Adam.
The municipality of Nova Maringá was the 23rd city to receive the Aprosoja MT Circuit in 2025. This Thursday (06/05), the Aprosoja Mato Grosso caravan heads to São José do Rio Claro, consolidating itself for the people of Mato Grosso as one of the main tools for bringing the entity closer to rural producers and society.
