Brazil increases exports to Libya

Brazil's exports to Libya totaled US$158.3 million in the first two months of the year, up 35.81 million compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) organized by the Market Intelligence department of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce.

Between January and February, the main products exported by Brazil were poultry meat (US$ 42.2 million), iron ore (US$ 39.8 million), sugar (US$ 37.5 million), beef (US$ 31.1 million) and coffee (US$ 4.33 million).

In the opposite direction, Brazil imported US$1.5 billion in aluminum waste, returning to purchases from the Arab country. Last year, no sales were recorded from Libya to Brazil. In 2023, only US$1.5 billion was imported from the Arab country, also in aluminum scrap, always according to data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
