The data reveal that meat increases were 8.3% in volume and 16.8% in revenue, compared to the same period in 2024. The result surpasses the best indexes in the historical series started in 1997, taking into account the months of January and February.

The president of Faesc and vice president of finance for the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA), José Zeferino Pedrozo, emphasizes that this performance is the result of excellence throughout the production process. “It all starts on the farm, with all the necessary care to ensure productivity, health, quality and sustainability. With innovation, the use of appropriate techniques and new technologies, both small and large producers are prepared to meet the rigorous demands of international markets.”

Faesc, as the main representative of agriculture and livestock in the state, plays a fundamental role in supporting producers to ensure excellence throughout the production process. “We work hard to guide and train producers with courses, technical and managerial assistance, events and other initiatives in partnership with other entities in the production sector, government agencies and agribusiness.”

The director also highlights the important role of health in Santa Catarina's poultry and pig farming, which represent fundamental pillars for the success of the sector, especially with regard to exports. "Our state stands out in Brazil and worldwide for the quality and health safety of its products, and we have no doubt that this is the result of a rigorous system of monitoring, controlling and preventing diseases."

For Faesc, the commitment to animal health not only ensures the quality of products, but also strengthens Santa Catarina's competitiveness in the global market, guaranteeing consumer confidence and maintaining the state as a leader in meat production in Brazil and the world.
