Domestic corn prices continue to rise, according to surveys by Cepea.
According to the Research Center, the support comes from the reduced number of sellers, who are focused on field activities and crop development, in addition to the high export parity.
Researchers explain that many producers, aware of the increased presence of buyers in the market last week, stayed away from negotiations, waiting for further price increases for the grain.
Generally, sellers only offer new lots when there is a need to generate cash in the short term and/or to free up some warehouse space.
According to the Research Center, the price increases weren't more intense only because some consumers are using existing stock instead of making new purchases.
