The Government of Goiás has released the preliminary results of the call for proposals for the Food Acquisition Program (PAA Leite) 2026, an initiative aimed at purchasing milk produced by family farms to serve families in situations of social vulnerability in the state. In total, five cooperatives and associative organizations were preliminarily classified to participate in the program, which will have an investment of R$ 5 million.
Five other proposals were rejected for failing to meet the technical and documentary requirements stipulated in the call for proposals published by the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa).

The qualified organizations are located in the municipalities of Ipameri, Ceres, Bela Vista de Goiás, Silvânia, and Formosa, regions with a consolidated presence of dairy production linked to family farming. According to Seapa, the selection process evaluated administrative, technical, and operational criteria related to the capacity to supply within the program's rules.
With the publication of the preliminary result, participating entities will have until Friday (08) to submit an administrative appeal. The submission must be made exclusively through the PAA Goiás Platform, available on the official website of the secretariat.
The state Secretary of Agriculture, Ademar Leal, stated that the program works both to strengthen the economic impact of rural production and to support the state's food security policy. “The Milk Acquisition Program (PAA Leite) plays a strategic role by connecting family farming production with the food security of the population. With the selection of organizations, we are advancing in structuring the milk supply chain, guaranteeing income for producers and providing assistance to vulnerable families in Goiás,” he declared.
The Milk Acquisition Program (PAA Leite) is part of the state policy to encourage milk production and consumption and seeks to expand the inclusion of family farming in public supply programs. In addition to food distribution, the initiative also focuses on stimulating the organization of the dairy chain, generating income in rural areas, and strengthening local cooperatives and associations.
