Brazil opens market for export of animal products to Canada and Chile.

The Brazilian government has concluded new international negotiations that expand access for the country's animal products to the markets of Canada and Chile.

In the Canadian market, health authorities have approved the import of Brazilian porcine pancreas destined for the pharmaceutical industry. This authorization should expand opportunities for adding value to the national porcine production chain.

According to data from the federal government, Brazilian agricultural exports to Canada totaled more than US$1.3 billion in 2025. Among the main products shipped are items from the sugar and ethanol complex, coffee, and meat.

In Chile, Brazil has already obtained authorization to export sheep and goat embryos. This new market expands commercial opportunities for the animal genetics sector.

Brazilian agricultural exports to the Chilean market exceeded US$2.2 billion in 2025, with meat, forestry products, and soybeans being the main products.

With these new announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 612 market openings since the beginning of 2023.

According to the federal government, the results are the fruit of joint action between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
