Copagril brings producers together for a Field Day focusing on the 2026 second-crop corn.

It began on Wednesday morning (21), at the Experimental Station of Copagril, in Marshal Candido RondonThe Corn Second Crop Field Day 2026 will take place. The program runs until 5 pm and brings together rural producers, technical teams, and partner companies to discuss technologies aimed at increasing crop productivity.

The event showcases 37 second-crop corn hybrids developed by nine genetics companies. The materials were planted under real growing conditions, allowing participants to monitor the agronomic performance, tolerance to water stress, foliar health, ear uniformity, and yield potential of each hybrid.

According to data from Itaú BBA Agro Consulting, corn remains among the main crops of the Brazilian second harvest, a scenario that reinforces producers' search for materials better adapted to the climatic and productive conditions of each region.

Copagril's CEO, Eloi Darci Podkowa, states that the Field Day aims to assist producers in making decisions for the next off-season crop. According to him, in addition to presenting hybrids, the event also seeks to bring cooperative members closer to new technologies and management strategies.

The cooperative's vice-president, Cesar Luiz Petri, emphasizes the importance of the second corn crop in generating income for rural properties. According to him, the meeting allows producers to observe, in practice, the behavior of materials and management practices under the conditions of the western region of Paraná.

Another highlight is the demonstration area for cover crops, featuring nine species planted for agronomic evaluation. The aim is to present alternatives for soil conservation, moisture retention, increased organic matter, and reduced erosion.

During the event, participants also receive guidance on soil fertility, nutritional management, and strategies to increase the productive stability of crops in the face of the climatic challenges recorded in recent harvests.

In addition to the schedule in Marechal Cândido Rondon, the cooperative has already defined new stages of the Corn Second Crop Field Days circuit in other units. The meetings will take place in Mercedes, on June 2nd; Margarida, on June 3rd; Nova Santa Rosa, on June 11th; Ponta Porã, on June 12th; São José das Palmeiras, on June 17th; Bela Vista, on June 20th; and São Clemente, on June 24th.

According to the cooperative, the initiative aims to offer technical support to producers for planning the next harvest, focusing on choosing hybrids and management practices best suited to the region's production conditions.
