The market of corn In the South and Mato Grosso do Sul, the pace remains moderate, with sporadic transactions, cautious buyers, and selective producers in their sales. According to an analysis by TF Agroeconômica, external demand is gaining importance in Rio Grande do Sul, while liquidity remains limited in different monitored regions.

In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range between R$ 58.00 and R$ 63.00 per sack, and the state average fell 0.44% during the week, to R$ 59.00. Industries are buying mainly for restocking, while producers await better opportunities. The improvement in exports at the beginning of August helps absorb volumes, although shipments are still below the same period in 2025.

In Santa Catarina, prices remain close to R$ 60.00 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55.00. The distance between buyers and sellers restricts transactions, with consumers resorting to stockpiling and making purchases as needed.

In Paraná, prices are also close to R$ 60.00, with demand around R$ 55.00 CIF. The second crop harvest has reached 60% of the area, but the high soil and grain moisture is limiting work and already causing losses in productivity and quality in some areas. Among the regional references, prices range from R$ 53.14 in the West to R$ 66.71 in the North Central region.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range between R$48.00 and R$50.00 per sack, with Maracaju as the main reference. The bioenergy industry absorbs part of the supply and helps to contain the pressure on prices. The harvest has reached 64% of the area, although rains have limited progress in parts of the state.
