Firm demand supports corn prices with rising production

Although new estimates indicate an increase in Brazilian production for the 2024/25 harvest, Cepea surveys show that corn prices continue to register small increases in most of the regions monitored.

According to the Research Center, support comes from strong internal demand and the more cautious stance of sellers, which limit the available volume.

Regarding production, data released last week by Conab indicated an increase of 2% compared to the previous month and 21% compared to the last season (2023/24), totaling 139.69 million tons.
