ApexBrasil will open an office in Cuiabá and bring Mato Grosso closer to the international market

Brasília witnessed a historic milestone for agriculture and livestock farming in Mato Grosso this Tuesday (September 23). The president of the Mato Grosso Agriculture and Livestock Federation (Famato), Vilmondes Tomain, signed, alongside the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, and the president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, a cooperation agreement that formalizes the installation of a regional office of ApexBrasil in the Famato Building, in Cuiabá.

The initiative, proposed by Famato, consolidates Mato Grosso as a leading player in the global agribusiness landscape. With the arrival of ApexBrasil, the state now has a dedicated structure to prepare and connect production chains directly to the international market, ensuring access to certifications, strategic guidance, and attracting new investors.

Mato Grosso, the largest national producer of soybeans, corn, cotton, and beef, boasts figures that place it among the world's leading producers in this sector. Now, with ApexBrasil's physical presence in Cuiabá, rural producers will have easier access to services that previously depended on coordination in Brasília or other hubs across the country, resulting in greater agility and competitiveness.

For Famato's president, Vilmondes Tomain, the measure places rural producers at the forefront of the internationalization process. "Our commitment is to open markets and promote Mato Grosso's reputation worldwide. This office will empower rural producers to compete on equal terms, with technical support, access to certifications, and opportunities that solidify our position as a global leader in food. This is Mato Grosso's agribusiness, hand in hand with Brazil, demonstrating its strength and sustainability to the planet," he stated.

The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, who is also from Mato Grosso, highlighted the importance of this moment for the state and the country. "Having an ApexBrasil office in Cuiabá means bringing Mato Grosso's agricultural sector even closer to global opportunities. Mato Grosso is Brazil's largest agricultural powerhouse, and this structure will allow producers direct access to internationalization programs, certifications, and strategic partnerships. It's a step that strengthens producers and projects Brazil onto the global stage," said Fávaro.

ApexBrasil President Jorge Viana emphasized the Agency's role and the relevance of the new regional office. "ApexBrasil's mission is to open doors, build bridges, and support companies and producers seeking to conquer international markets. Being in Cuiabá, the heart of Brazilian agribusiness, is strategic. Mato Grosso produces on a large scale and with quality, and deserves this close support. This office will provide producers with greater access to training programs, international fairs, and investors, expanding the reach of Mato Grosso's production worldwide," stated Viana.

The event also included the participation of the Famato System superintendent, Cleiton Gauer. ApexBrasil representatives included Business Director Ana Repezza; Institutional and Government Relations Coordinator Lucas Brandão; Institutional and Government Relations Manager Carla Duarte; Executive Manager of the Presidency Raphael Cittadino; Agribusiness Coordinator Luciana Pecegueiro; and Regional Coordinator Fellipe Paulino. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock also included Chief of Staff Wilson Taques and Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Institutional Relations Marcel Moreira.

For the president of Famato, more than opening markets, the arrival of ApexBrasil symbolizes a decisive step so that the biggest beneficiary, the rural producer, can transform potential into results, consolidating Mato Grosso as a driver of Brazilian development and a reference in the supply of food to the world.
