
The market of corn Negotiations continue in the South and Midwest regions, amidst cautious buyers, selective producers, and low liquidity in various markets. According to a survey by TF Agroeconômica, prices are behaving differently across states, while domestic demand and exports continue to influence sales.
In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range between R$ 60.00 and R$ 68.00 per sack. The average state price, according to Emater, increased by 0.83% during the week, from R$ 61.09 to R$ 61.60. Industries are concentrating their purchases on restocking, while producers are restricting supply while waiting for better conditions.
In Santa Catarina, reference prices are close to R$ 60.00 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55.00, a difference that limits new business. The state demands approximately 8.5 million tons per year and produced 2.67 million tons in the 2025/26 harvest, maintaining a deficit of close to 6 million tons. Part of the need is met by the Midwest and Paraguay.
In Paraná, purchase indications are also close to R$ 60.00 per sack, with demand around R$ 55.00 CIF. Among the markets, Ponta Grossa reached R$ 67.91, Cascavel R$ 61.95 and Maringá R$ 61.99.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range between R$ 54.00 and R$ 55.50 per sack. After a series of increases, there was stability and declines, with Maracaju registering a weekly drop of 3.37%. The bioenergy industry remains active in purchases and continues to be an important demand channel. Brazilian exports show a gradual recovery in September, although shipments are still 16.7% below the pace observed in the same period of 2025.
