The Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT) will hold another election in 2026 to define its representatives for the 2027/2029 term. With the end of the current board's term, presided over by Lucas Costa Beber, the election features a single slate, headed by the current vice-president, Luiz Pedro Poletti Bier, as the presidential candidate. The current administrative director of the organization, Diego Francisco Bertuol, is running for vice-president.
The slate brings together rural producers who have already served in different roles within the association's administrative structure. The candidates' experience includes participation in regional groups and positions on the state board, with a focus on addressing the needs of the members.
Luiz Pedro Poletti Bier became an associate of Aprosoja MT in 2015. The following year, he assumed the position of head delegate for the Gaúcha do Norte branch, a role he held for the 2016/2017 term. Subsequently, he was elected coordinating delegate for the 2018/2021 term. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as vice-president of the Eastern Region of Mato Grosso and, for the 2024/2026 term, he assumed the state vice-presidency of the organization.
Diego Francisco Bertuol joined Aprosoja MT in 2019. In the 2021/2023 term, he was the head delegate for the Cláudia branch. In the following election, he became a member of the state board as administrative director, a position he holds for the 2024/2026 term.
In addition to the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, the slate includes 12 other names for administrative positions and regional directorates. Among the 14 members, five are women, running for regional director positions, thus increasing female participation in the slate.
The Aprosoja MT election is scheduled for November 9th, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mato Grosso time. Voting will take place without interruption at the organization's administrative headquarters in Cuiabá and at the headquarters of the 35 regional centers. More than 9,000 members are eligible to participate in the electoral process.
