Soybean planting picks up pace thanks to good moisture conditions in Paraná.

Planting soy The 2026/27 planting season in Paraná has progressed after the end of the sanitary break on September 20th, and has already reached 28% of the planned area. According to data released by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral) of the Paraná State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), more than 5.74 million hectares are planned for cultivation this season.

With good humidity conditions and sunny windows, producers intensified fieldwork this week. The pace is above the average observed in recent harvests for this period.

The increase in planting comes after the end of the sanitary break throughout the state. With the areas cleared, producers took advantage of the favorable conditions to accelerate the sowing of the oilseed.

According to data released by Deral/Seab, 28% of the projected area for soybeans had already been planted this week. This percentage represents an advance considered superior to the average recorded in recent harvests during the same period.

Weather conditions help explain the faster pace. Good soil moisture allowed operations to proceed during sunny periods, facilitating the entry of machinery into the fields.

Another factor highlighted in the material is the producers' decision to accelerate planting. The strategy seeks to reduce potential risks of delays should weather conditions become less favorable in the coming months.

The forecast of above-average rainfall also influences work planning. Given this scenario, bringing forward the sowing date can reduce the exposure of crops to potential problems caused by delays in the planting schedule.

The areas already sown are in good condition in the field. According to data released by Deral/Seab, most of the crops are still in the germination phase.

The scenario therefore indicates that the planting of the 2026/27 soybean crop has gained momentum in Paraná after the end of the sanitary break. The combination of adequate moisture, sunny periods, and the producers' strategy of advancing quickly keeps sowing above the recent historical average for the period.
