
Brazilian cattle exports to Botswana are progressing with the shipment of 600 animals of the Girolando and Gir breeds. According to data released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), the initiative aims to contribute to the development of dairy farming in the African country, which currently produces only 10% of the milk it consumes, through genetic improvement and the transfer of Brazilian technology.
