
The market of corn The market continues to be marked by sporadic negotiations, caution from buyers, and selectivity from producers, while the planting of the new crop gains ground in the southern states. According to TF Agroeconômica, prices are behaving differently across regions, with stability in some markets and declines in others.
In Rio Grande do Sul, transactions are occurring between R$ 60 and R$ 69 per sack, while the average state price advanced 1.84%, to R$ 62.67, according to Emater data. Industries are prioritizing restocking, and producers are restricting new lots. Sowing for the 2026/27 crop advanced from 68% to 73% of the planned area, estimated at 896,400 hectares. Initial development is considered satisfactory, despite localized damage from frost and hail and the presence of leafhoppers and stink bugs in some regions.
In Santa Catarina, prices are close to R$ 60 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55. The difference between buyers and sellers is limiting transactions, while the state remains dependent on corn from other regions.
In Paraná, purchase indications are also close to R$ 60 per sack, with demand around R$ 55 CIF. Prices fell in the main regions, with Ponta Grossa registering a drop of 0.61%, to R$ 65.85. The harvest of the second crop of 2025/26 reached 99%, while the planting of the 2026/27 crop reached 72% of the planned area.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range between R$ 54 and R$ 55.50 per sack. After a series of increases, prices have lost momentum, with Maracaju accumulating a weekly decline of 3.37%. The bioenergy industry continues to absorb part of the supply, while producers remain cautious in their marketing efforts.
