The pace of the harvest is described as adequate, with good plant establishment and favorable weather conditions, which has allowed progress within the schedule predicted by the agroclimatic zoning.

Phytosanitary control remains active, especially in monitoring the corn leafhopper, a pest that has worried producers in recent years. So far, however, the recorded incidence is low. On the coast of Santa Catarina, technicians observed germination failures in some areas, attributed to excessive rainfall during the plant emergence period.

The bulletin also warns of heavy rains in the southern region, which may require greater attention to disease management and topdressing fertilization, crucial steps for crop development.

Despite the points of concern, the current scenario is favorable. Epagri/Cepa maintains a positive outlook for productivity, contingent on continued suitable weather and plant health in the coming weeks.
