The Wheat Sector Chamber of São Paulo will hold on July 31st, at 10 am hours, another meeting that will bring together representatives from the grain production chain to discuss the current crop situation in the state. The meeting will be held in person at Ouro Safra, in Pilar do Sul, São Paulo, and will also be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Wheat Industry Union of the State of São Paulo (Sindustrigo).
For this second meeting, the main cooperatives are expected to present the state's crop progress, even in the face of recent episodes of intense cold in some regions. According to Nelson Montagna, president of the São Paulo Wheat Sector Chamber, the cooperatives' reports will be essential for providing a more accurate overview of São Paulo's production this cycle, but he affirms that the current outlook is more positive than initially anticipated.

"We expect the data to be presented to indicate total production closer to 400,000 tons, a slightly better scenario than we estimated at the meeting earlier this year. Wheat, from what we've heard, is performing well, with no serious signs of decline," he states.
Montagna adds that, despite some uncertainties regarding the final quality of the grain and possible localized losses, the assessment is that the harvest is progressing well, with production potential above initial projections. "We know that frost is always a point of concern, but it was very isolated and dispersed, which may not have affected production. This scenario will only become more certain based on the cooperatives' report at the meeting."
In addition to discussions on field production, the program will also feature a presentation by StoneX analyst Jonathan Pinheiro, who will address the domestic and international wheat market situation, highlighting price and demand trends and projections. Next, Viviane Morales of Lastro Consulting will provide clarification on the ICMS tax benefit for rural producers, a topic that has generated both questions and interest among industry participants.
The meeting, promoted by the São Paulo State Department of Agriculture and Sindustrigo, is part of the official calendar of the Wheat Sector Chamber, contributing to the alignment of technical and institutional information for the sector.
