In Paraná, specifically, the weather hampered fieldwork, providing some support for the figures in the first week of November.
According to researchers at Cepea, the prices paid to wheat producers are well below the minimum price guaranteed by the government's policy, which opens the door for federal intervention aimed at supporting marketing and ensuring minimum remuneration for farmers.
The minimum value stipulated by Conab is R$ 78.51/60 kg sack. Data from Cepea shows that the price of wheat in the over-the-counter market (value paid to the producer) closed on Friday (07), at R$ 57.52/60 kg sack in the Passo Fundo region (RS) and at R$ 63.95/60 kg sack in the West of Paraná, values 27% and 19% lower, respectively, than the minimum price of Conab.
