Created with the goal of strengthening the organization of producers in different regions of the state, the 35 centers of the Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT) are located alongside rural unions and act as a link between producers and the entity, facilitating communication and representation in the state.
For a region to become a hub, it must meet criteria established by the association and play the fundamental role of bringing rural producers closer to institutional decisions. According to the coordinating delegate of the Lucas do Rio Verde hub, Taisa Botton, the hubs are the foundation of Aprosoja Mato Grosso, assisting in organizing the demands of rural producers.
“The local chapters are the foundation of Aprosoja MT. It is through them that we are able to meet, discuss our challenges, and organize our demands in a more structured way so that headquarters can serve us more efficiently. And when we talk about local chapters, we are talking about representation. Imagine if we all had to travel to Cuiabá to individually present our demands, which are often the same. It would be unfeasible. The local chapter manages to organize and bring this together in collective strength. From this, we can discuss the problems of our micro-region, systematize all the information, and transform it into data so that headquarters can act. This makes all the difference in terms of strengthening decision-making and ensures, among other things, that the organization can act based on the reality of the producer,” he emphasized.
Based on her experience and work at Aprosoja MT, Taisa Botton emphasizes that the main progress observed after the creation and consolidation of the regional groups is the producers' sense of belonging.
“One of the main advances after the creation and consolidation of the core group in the region reminds me of an Aprosoja MT Circuit back in 2009. This circuit brought together many producers, and at that time, our scenario demanded a lot of caution. The discussions revolved around cost management, profitability projections, and strategic planning because the economic environment was very unstable. At the time, the Circuit brought together economists, technical specialists, and sector leaders, resulting in exceptional panels. It was at that moment that it became very clear to many of us that Aprosoja MT was not just promoting events, but building a space for guidance, articulation, and defense of the producer. The consolidation of the core group basically brought about this: a feeling of belonging. We begin to see the entity as a home, a space where concerns are heard, organized, and transformed into concrete actions. It is not just an institutional advance, but also an advance among us, producers, as a culture,” Taisa pointed out.
Created recently, in December 2025, the Entre Rios hub represents seven municipalities in the eastern region of the state. The initiative was motivated by the need to bring rural producers even closer to local discussions and demands, expanding grassroots participation and strengthening regional communication. According to the regional coordinating delegate, Gelindo Lira Neto, the expansion of the hubs reinforces the representativeness of Mato Grosso's producers.
“The Aprosoja MT hubs bring producers closer to the organization. The meetings and gatherings that Aprosoja MT holds in these hubs strengthen this proximity and keep producers informed about everything happening in agribusiness. The creation of the Entre Rios Hub arose precisely with this objective: to bring producers from the North even closer. Previously, Matupá was part of Sinop, which made access more difficult for producers from Northern Mato Grosso due to the distance, hindering the participation of farmers in the region. With the creation of the Entre Rios Hub in Matupá and the holding of meetings in the municipality, it will be possible to bring these producers together, disseminating information from Aprosoja MT and, at the same time, strengthening the producer's connection with the organization. The union of producers tends to generate increasingly positive results for the association,” stated Gelindo.
For rural producer Alberto Chiapinotto from Jaciara, the center functions as a permanent bridge between the producer and the headquarters of Aprosoja MT, promoting continuous dialogue and active participation.
“The biggest advance we saw in the Jaciara center was the participation of the associated producers of Aprosoja MT, bringing their demands and suggestions for improving the daily life of the region. We are very grateful to the organization. Aprosoja MT has stood out in its decision-making. The distribution of centers to serve the entire state of Mato Grosso was well-planned. Producers bring their demands to the center to be passed on to headquarters. With this, we make the right decisions in defense of the producer. So, we are well represented by the centers, the organization, the collaborators, and all the technical staff of Aprosoja MT,” concluded Alberto.
