São Borja will host the 13th Opening of the Corn Harvest in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, which will take place on January 22nd and 23rd, bringing together authorities, rural producers, technicians, researchers, and representatives of entities linked to agribusiness.
The program starts on Thursday (22), from 5:30 pm, at the Serafim Dornelles Vargas Exhibition Park, with roundtables and technical lectures that will address topics such as production technology, corn management, use of bio-inputs, irrigation, environmental legislation and market perspectives.
Next Friday (23), activities begin at 7:30 am, at Agropecuária Santos Reis, in São Borja. The morning will be marked by reception and accreditation, visits to demonstration areas, trials with corn hybrids, technical guidance on management, irrigation and fertilization, as well as visits to the stands of participating companies.
Official opening
The highlight of the program takes place at 11 am, with the official Opening of the Corn Harvest in Rio Grande do Sul, which will be attended by the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation, Edivilson Brum, as well as state, regional and municipal authorities.
The event is organized by the Municipality of São Borja, with the support of entities, technical institutions, and companies in the agricultural sector.
The initiative aims to strengthen regional integration, promote the exchange of knowledge, and highlight the importance of corn cultivation for the economic development of Rio Grande do Sul.
