Planting soy 2026/27 is already released in Region II of Paraná, which includes municipalities in the North, Northwest and West of the State. According to data released by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), only 81 thousand hectares had been planted until Thursday (10), out of a total of 5.76 million hectares planned for the state crop.
In areas where planting has already been authorized, work is still progressing slowly. Historically, the greatest concentration of sowing occurs during the month of October. The release of planting is happening gradually among the producing regions of Paraná. In Region III, which comprises the Southwest of the State, soybean planting will be allowed starting this week, on September 11th.
In Region I, comprised of the municipalities located in the southernmost part of Paraná, the soybean planting ban ends on September 19th. Therefore, producers in these areas will be able to begin planting after the ban ends.
According to data released by Deral/Seab, fieldwork is expected to pick up pace starting September 20th, provided weather conditions are favorable. The release schedule means that planting will progress at different times in the producing regions. Currently, Region II concentrates the work already begun, while Region III will be authorized to begin planting on September 11th, and Region I will end its sanitary break on September 19th.
The forecast is for an intensification of field operations starting September 20th, weather permitting. However, the pace of sowing is still expected to follow the traditional planting schedule, which concentrates planting mainly in October.
