Official Note from Aprosoja Mato Grosso
The Mato Grosso Soybean and Corn Producers Association (Aprosoja MT) celebrates the unanimous decision of Cade's advisors to recognize and maintain the General Superintendence's preventive measures against the Soy Moratorium, suspending this illegal agreement as of January 1, 2026.
It is worth noting that the votes of the rapporteur and the president of Cade on the preventive measures of the General Superintendence, in the trial this Tuesday (30.09), reinforce the evidence of a cartel and the distortions generated by this mechanism and its anti-competitive practices that harm the fair and competitive market environment.
The statements by Cade's General Superintendence, the rapporteur, and the president show that the end of the moratorium is an essential step for Brazil to reaffirm that sustainability and legality are not in conflict. After all, environmental policies cannot be used as a pretext for economic exclusion.
Aprosoja MT emphasizes that the end of the moratorium is a historic milestone in the defense of free competition and legal production in the field, restoring legal security and dignity to the thousands of producers who have always acted in accordance with the Forest Code and Brazilian environmental laws.
For years, a private agreement, without legal support, has been imposing unfair trade barriers on producers, especially small and medium-sized ones, preventing the sale of crops grown in regular and licensed areas.
Aprosoja MT will remain vigilant and active to ensure that producers who respect the law also have the right to produce, prosper, and contribute to the country's development.
