The Global Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS) will be one of the main attractions at AgriZone, Embrapa's space during COP30, showcasing how RTRS certification and regenerative agriculture are part of the solution to mitigate climate change. This week, in Belém (PA), institutions and companies from around the world will discuss how to transform the agricultural sector into a protagonist in this agenda.
On Thursday (13), at 12:40 pm, in Auditorium 1 of AgriZone, RTRS promotes the panel “RTRS Solutions to Mitigate Climate Change”, bringing together experts, researchers and global leaders. “It is the first time that RTRS has participated in a COP. We want to show that certification can transform environmental commitments into real and tangible results for the planet,” highlights RTRS Global Executive Director, Marina Muscolo.
On this occasion, there will be English-Portuguese interpretation and the presentations will be broadcast by Embrapa on its YouTube channel.

The welcome and opening of the panel will be led by Marina Muscolo, the new Global Executive Director of RTRS. An agricultural engineer, Marina holds an MBA in Business Administration from IAE Business School and has over 20 years of experience in the agri-food chain. During her presentation, Marina will highlight how the RTRS standard can offer practical solutions to climate change.
Next, the topic “Regenerative Agriculture Pilot Project” will be presented by Helen Lazarri, Head of Market Development and Stakeholder Relations at RTRS in Mato Grosso. “COP30 will be the ideal space to showcase the progress and new knowledge gained from the pilot project in Brazil and the opportunities for expansion and positive impact on production,” she said.
Marco Antonio Nogueira, a researcher at Embrapa Soja and a leading expert in biological nitrogen fixation, soil bioindicators, and drought tolerance, will provide a scientific perspective on climate adaptation and soybean sustainability.
The perspective of producers on certification and climate change will be the topic of a lecture given by Fabiana Reguero, Head of Sustainability at AMAGGI. In her presentation, Fabiana will discuss the producers' experience in integrating certification and ESG goals, representing the company in strategic national and international forums.
Bayer's Carbon Business Development Coordinator, Mateus Rosado, will explain the important role of producers in measuring and monitoring carbon indicators in this context.

Within this agenda, the role of financing and certification in a scenario of voluntary and regulatory actions will be discussed by the Head of Sustainability at Rabobank South America, Taciano Custodio. The expert will show how financial solutions can accelerate sustainability in strategic agricultural supply chains.
Highlighting the importance of the connection between producers and the market, Bunge's Sustainability Director for South America, Pamela Moreira, will discuss initiatives for deforestation-free supply chains and low-carbon products.
Finally, voluntary certification systems and trusted tools for climate action will be discussed by ISEAL Senior Advisor Joshua Wickerham. In his presentation, he will explain the role of certifications and RTRS's commitment to the ISEAL community – a global membership organization for collaborative and transparent sustainability systems.
Get to know AgriZone
AgriZone, part of Embrapa's Climate Journey initiative, will be the central point for debates on science, innovation, and agricultural sustainability during COP30. Located less than 2 km from the Blue Zone, it will host more than 400 events and technological showcases demonstrating how agriculture can play a leading role in climate solutions.
