The Swine Farming Expedition arrives in Mato Grosso do Sul and premieres a new season of the documentary series.

The Swine Farming Expedition: Routes of Brazil opens a new chapter in Mato Grosso do Sul, one of the fastest-growing states in pork production in the country. The first episode of the new season is already online and marks the beginning of a journey that covers farms, agribusinesses, research institutions, and real stories that help explain the present and future of swine farming in Mato Grosso do Sul.

Recognized for the strength of its agribusiness, the availability of grains, the presence of large meat processing plants, and technological advancements in the field, Mato Grosso do Sul today occupies a strategic position in the national swine production chain. It is in this context that the documentary series aims to go beyond the numbers, showing who produces, how they produce, and what the challenges and opportunities are in an activity undergoing profound transformation.

In this first episode, the Expedition presents the historical and productive background of pig farming in the state, highlighting the evolution of the production system, the role of integration, investments in health, genetics and management, as well as the importance of the activity for income generation, jobs and regional development. All this is based on real testimonies from producers, technicians, leaders and professionals who experience pig farming on a daily basis.

Produced by the newspaper *O Presente Rural*, the series maintains the format that has already been used in other important centers of the country, combining journalism, documentary and field experience. The team was on the roads, on farms and in industrial plants to record, with depth and sensitivity, the paths that build Brazilian pig farming.

The Mato Grosso do Sul season will consist of four episodes, which will address, over the next few weeks, topics such as the production landscape, technology and innovation, sustainability and the environment, as well as the challenges and perspectives for the future of the activity in the state.

The first episode of the *Swine Farming Expedition: Routes of Brazil – Mato Grosso do Sul* is now available on the YouTube channel of the newspaper *O Presente Rural*. A journey that begins now, guided by those who make swine farming much more than a business: a story built every day in the field.
