Government of Goiás launches new call for proposals for the PAA Leite 2026 program.

The Government of Goiás has published the new public call for proposals for the Goiás State Food Acquisition Program, PAA Leite 2026. The initiative is executed through Emater Goiás, Goiás Social and the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), and will have an investment of R$ 5 million.

The program provides for the purchase of milk produced by family farmers, destined for receiving units and families in situations of food and nutritional insecurity, simultaneously contributing to income generation in rural areas and food security.

Associations and cooperatives of family farmers producing milk, covering all 246 municipalities in Goiás, are eligible to participate. Supply proposals must be submitted by March 26th, according to guidelines available on the Emater Goiás website, where the call for proposals and the necessary registration documents are also published. Dates may be subject to change due to administrative needs, with prior notice.

The president of Emater Goiás, Rafael Gouveia, emphasizes that the program is part of a set of actions by the Government of Goiás aimed at strengthening the dairy chain, from direct support for production to guaranteeing the marketing of family farm production.

“The Milk Acquisition Program (PAA Leite) guarantees a market and income for family farmers, while the Social Sowing Program strengthens the productive base. Through the program, we deliver kits for pasture recovery, allowing for improved herd nutrition and increased milk production. Thus, the producer has better conditions to produce and market their production,” highlights Rafael Gouveia.

In the 2025 edition, R$ 5.9 million was invested in resources from Goiás Social, with the participation of seven supplier organizations and approximately 394 family farmers. The action resulted in the distribution of 1.142 million liters of milk to social assistance entities, benefiting approximately 10,000 families in vulnerable situations.

Emater Goiás will be responsible for organizing the delivery schedule to the entities indicated by the Organization of Volunteers of Goiás (OVG). The classified organizations may only begin supplying goods after formally receiving the Supply Order, to be issued by Seapa. For more information, those interested should visit the Emater Goiás website or seek assistance at the nearest local unit.
