The second phase of Acrimat in Action, an initiative of the Mato Grosso Cattle Breeders Association, began on February 19th and has already mobilized ranchers, technicians, and leaders in three municipalities in the interior of Mato Grosso. The new route focuses on continuing the work that consolidated the first phase as one of the main itinerant events for beef cattle farming in the state, bringing practical knowledge directly to the producing regions and strengthening dialogue with those who experience the day-to-day realities in the field.
The municipality of Paranatinga was the first to host the second leg of the program, with a lecture held on February 19th at the Denise Club. The speaker, Ricardo Arantes, led the discussion on key themes for contemporary livestock farming: leadership, people management, and farm organization – aspects considered crucial for the success of rural activity.

“The presence of Acrimat in Action in Paranatinga reinforces our commitment to standing alongside producers, listening closely to their demands and providing information that truly transforms the daily routine of the farm. Modern livestock farming requires management, leadership, and strategic vision, and that is what we seek to strengthen in each meeting. Seeing the active participation of livestock farmers in the region shows that we are on the right track,” highlighted Márcia Tomazini, regional director of Acrimat in Paranatinga.
Producers, technicians, and students attended the sessions, which aimed to demonstrate that efficient production goes beyond the number of animals; it involves strategic management of teams and processes that ensure productivity, economic sustainability, and family continuity in the countryside.
Canarana continues with technical debate and exchange of experiences.
The following day, the program continued in Canarana, another important production hub in the state. As in the other stages of this second route, the meeting brought together the local production chain for technical updates focused on the reality of livestock farmers in the region.
Celebrating her 89th birthday, Gilda Maria Dias Jacintho, a pioneer in the northern region of Rio Grande do Sul, attended the lecture in Canarana and emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge. "In the past, it was very difficult to find knowledge in livestock farming; today, having a speaker like this, bringing such rich content, is a privilege for young producers," she concluded.
On February 21st, the program arrived in Ribeirão Cascalheira, following the schedule of the second stage, which includes eight strategic production hubs. There, producers and participants had the chance to discuss challenges and opportunities in local livestock farming, as well as exchange experiences with technicians and representatives of the organization. “Participating in Acrimat in Action here in Ribeirão Cascalheira was an opportunity to update how we manage the property. Sometimes we focus too much on production and end up neglecting people management,” highlighted João Carlos Ferreira, farm manager in Ribeirão Cascalheira.
Throughout this second route, which also passes through other cities such as Vila Rica, Água Boa, Barra do Garças and ends in Rondonópolis, Acrimat em Ação continues its commitment to bringing technical content directly to producers, strengthening the representation of the activity in the state and promoting the professionalization of management on rural properties.
