Aviagen strengthens its Technical Services team to provide support in Minas Gerais and Goiás.

Aviagen® announces a new addition to its Technical Services team in Brazil. Veterinarian Rafael Cavalcante joins the company to directly support the team in Minas Gerais and Goiás, in a transition coordinated with clients in the region. This move is part of the company's ongoing strategy to strengthen daily relationships with business partners, supporting the health and well-being of poultry.

According to Aviagen's Commercial Manager in Brazil, Luiz Mansano, the new hire reflects the brand's commitment to excellence in service. “Our priority is to offer customers everything they need to get the most out of our Ross® 308 AP birds. Strengthening our regional team is part of a structured approach to growth and reflects our ongoing investment in people to help customers achieve solid and sustainable performance on their farms, while promoting animal welfare,” he stated.

Field experience and management

Cavalcante has over 15 years of experience in poultry farming, with a solid track record in important agribusiness companies and cooperatives. His experience encompasses breeder management, hatchery operations, and broiler production, giving him extensive knowledge of the entire production cycle.

In addition to a degree in Veterinary Medicine, he holds an MBA in Agribusiness Administration and is dedicated to continuous improvement, biosecurity, and efficient poultry management practices. “I am excited to join Aviagen and contribute to the team,” said Cavalcante, adding: “My experience in different stages of poultry production allows me to support clients in Minas Gerais and Goiás in a practical way. The goal is to work side-by-side with clients to improve flock results, while supporting food safety and sustainable production.”

Close to customers in key poultry farming regions.

Minas Gerais and Goiás are important poultry-producing regions in Brazil. Strengthening the team in these areas helps ensure closer monitoring and timely guidance for clients, as well as addressing the daily challenges faced by farms.

Aviagen's Service Manager in Brazil, Rodrigo Tedesco, highlighted the value of Cavalcante's experience. “Rafael brings a solid and comprehensive knowledge of poultry production, along with the ability to connect effective bird management practices throughout the operation. His experience helps strengthen daily decision-making on farms and adds value for our customers across the region,” he stated.
