The Central-West region has mostly dry weather, but warns of storms in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The Central-West region will experience predominantly dry weather in the coming days, with the exception of areas in Mato Grosso do Sul, where heavy rain and a risk of storms are forecast. This information was presented by MetSul meteorologist Estael Sias during the program Tempo e Clima (Time and Climate). According to the specialist, the instability is associated with the advance of a cold front arriving from the Southern region.

According to the meteorologist, much of Mato Grosso, Goiás, and the Federal District remain under the influence of dry air, with little cloud formation and no significant rainfall. In Mato Grosso do Sul, however, the scenario is different. Starting Friday, high rainfall volumes are expected, potentially exceeding 60 mm in some areas.

Estael Sias warns that, in addition to the rain, there is a risk of severe weather events such as strong winds, lightning, and even hail. This scenario requires attention, especially in agricultural areas. On Saturday, rainfall amounts could be even higher, reaching 80 or even 100 mm in isolated areas, which increases the risk of impacts in the fields.

On Sunday, rainfall is expected to decrease, while Monday will be marked by a drop in temperature. While Mato Grosso do Sul faces instability, other areas remain dry. In Mato Grosso, for example, the forecast indicates light and irregular rain, without significant impact.

According to the expert, this contrast requires planning on the part of the producer, who needs to consider the specific conditions of each area. The recommendation is to take advantage of dry weather where it predominates and to pay extra attention in areas at risk of storms.
