The Central-West region continues to face a typical autumn pattern, marked by a gradual reduction in rainfall and predominantly dry weather, especially in Goiás. According to meteorologist Giovana Barbosa, the arrival of a new cold front may bring isolated rainfall to some areas in the coming days, but the amounts will still be low.
This Thursday, rain is expected to be concentrated mainly in Mato Grosso do Sul and in areas of the far north of Mato Grosso. Goiás, on the other hand, remains under the influence of dry air, with few clouds and no significant rainfall.
According to the meteorologist, the scenario begins to change over the weekend, when some areas in the interior of Goiás may once again experience light and isolated rain.
Despite this, the projected rainfall totals are still far from ideal for the fields. Giovana Barbosa points out that, to have a positive impact on crops, what would be needed is so-called "agricultural rain," with volumes close to 10 millimeters per day—a condition that is not yet expected to occur widely in the region.

In Quirinópolis, in southern Goiás, producers report more than 30 days without rain. According to the forecast presented by the meteorologist, the dry weather conditions should persist at least until Saturday.
Starting Sunday, the possibility of rain increases in the region, with expectations of improvement also on Monday, although there is still uncertainty about the behavior of the new cold front.
According to Giovana Barbosa, the forecast may change in the coming days, especially due to the dynamics of cold fronts at this time of year.
Second crop worries producers in southern Goiás.
The drought is already starting to have a significant impact on agricultural production. During their participation in the program, producers reported substantial losses in the second corn crop in southern Goiás, with areas being used for silage due to lack of moisture.
The meteorologist emphasizes that the current pattern is typical of autumn in the Midwest, a period when rainfall gradually decreases.
Miners and Lucas do Rio Verde may experience light rain.
In the municipality of Mineiros, in Goiás, the forecast indicates an increased chance of rain between Sunday and Monday. Even so, the predicted amounts remain low and insufficient to replenish soil moisture.
A similar situation is occurring in Lucas do Rio Verde, in Mato Grosso. The forecast indicates the possibility of light rain at the beginning of next week, with accumulations close to 6 millimeters.
