The Faeg/Senar/Ifag System is carrying out, between June 16th and 22nd, the second stage of the Goiás 2025/26 Harvest Expedition, consolidating one of the most important initiatives for technical monitoring of Goiás's crops. At the beginning of the year, the work focused on soybeans. This time, the second-crop corn, sorghum, and sunflower crops will be analyzed, which together account for more than 361 TP4T of the state's grain production.
Over more than 2,000 kilometers, technical and institutional teams will travel through 19 municipalities to conduct field assessments, productivity sampling, collect technical information, and exchange experiences with rural producers. The program also includes five regional events at the end of each workday.
The Goiás Harvest Expedition plays a strategic role in generating data that contributes to decision-making by producers, industry entities, companies, researchers, and public policy makers. The survey allows for monitoring the impacts of climatic conditions, identifying challenges faced in the field, and producing reliable information on productivity, production costs, and crop profitability.
In this edition, monitoring becomes even more relevant given the scenario faced by the second crop. The delay in soybean planting and the rains during the harvest impacted the planting of corn, resulting in approximately 30% of the cultivated area being outside the ideal planting window. In some regions, the scarcity of rain also increased concerns about possible productivity losses.
In addition to field assessments, technical events held in the cities hosting the expedition will provide producers with up-to-date information on the market, climate, and prospects for the next harvest, reinforcing the commitment of the Faeg/Senar/Ifag System to the dissemination of knowledge and the strengthening of the competitiveness of Goiás' agribusiness.
The fieldwork can be observed by the press, by prior arrangement in the municipality of interest. The results of the analyses will be presented on June 22nd, at 8:30 am, at the Faeg headquarters.
Road map
June 16th — Visits to Silvânia, Luziânia, and Cristalina. At 7 PM, a technical event at the Rural Union of Pires do Rio.
June 17th — Visits to Pires do Rio, Catalão, Ipameri, and Piracanjuba. At 7 PM, a technical event will be held at the Rural Union of Piracanjuba.
June 18th — Visits to Pontalina, Bom Jesus de Goiás, and Santa Helena de Goiás. At 7 PM, a technical event will be held at the Rural Union of Rio Verde.
June 19th — Visits to Rio Verde, Mineiros, and Jataí. At 7 PM, a technical event will be held at the Jataí Rural Union.
June 20th — Visits to Caiapônia, Montividiu, and Paraúna. At 7 PM, a technical event will be held at the Rural Union of Acreúna.
June 21st — Visits to Acreúna, Indiara, and Palmeiras de Goiás, with return to Goiânia.
June 22nd — Goiânia. Press conference at Faeg headquarters, at 8:30 am.
