The prospect of a high corn supply in Brazil continues to be supported by the good development of the second crop in most of the country's producing regions. However, weather problems recorded in specific areas of Goiás, Paraná, and Mato Grosso do Sul are already beginning to worry producers regarding the productive potential of the crops.

According to surveys by Center for Advanced Studies in Applied EconomicsEpisodes of frost and persistent dry weather in these regions have increased market attention regarding the impacts on crop productivity.
Given this scenario, some sellers have adopted a more cautious stance in negotiations. The possibility of crop losses is causing producers to resist lowering the prices they are asking for the grain.
On the other hand, there are agents who are being more flexible with sales, mainly with the aim of freeing up warehouse space and bolstering cash flow during this harvest and product outflow period.
On the demand side, buyers have been acting sporadically in the market, prioritizing purchases during periods of lower prices. According to Cepea, many consumers still have sufficient stock to meet their needs for the coming weeks, which reduces the immediate pressure for new purchases.
